If you haven’t noticed already, the BYF Family is growing and striving to improve in all areas of the company. We are hearing great feedback from our dentists and more importantly hearing direct feedback from the patients we’ve helped through our “Get A Smile, Give A Smile” movement. The feedback has inspired us to look beyond what we currently offer to provide more products and services for our dentists and dentists’ patients.
Our first focus this year was quality and communication so our COO, Ray Alde, former Tesla Program Manager, called in a favor and brought the leaders of the company to see how Tesla was able produce the 2013 Motor Trend Vehicle of the year – Model S. Tesla has been known for their innovation and new approach in the auto industry so we wanted to learn this same heart and apply it to the dental industry.
We met with the Director of Quality and saw how the quality process played a critical role in every step of the production. We were able to see how their production process and communication tools drove consistency and predictability. The BYF Family came back inspired and eager to apply the lessons learned in our own operations and fabrication line so we can better serve our dentists.
